BioShock Infinite

Just finished my third and final play-through of BioShock Infinite. What a great game!

It’s the follow-up to the well-received BioShock and BioShock 2, both of which were set in a city at the bottom of the ocean. BioShock Infinite is set in a city in the sky!

My first playthrough was on Normal difficulty, straight run-through enjoying the story and game-play. It took about a week. Next was 1999 Mode, tougher enemies, less health, much, much harder. It took about two weeks, with the final battle taking all day – can’t say how many times I died and got dumped back to the main menu. Finally, I decided to play again on easy to enjoy the story again without risk of death around every corner. This only took one day and I managed it without dying at all.

The story is engaging and the ending is amazing and thought-provoking. Combined with excellent game-play it must rank as one of the best games of all time.

I played it on a PlayStation 3 – it’s also available on Xbox.
